The Snow White Cinema Uprising

Snow White & The Huntsman/Mirror Mirror

"Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest 'movie' of them all..."

In a year where superheros movies are the next big thing, two directors bring us movies about love, beauty, and finding your place in the world.

Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs, originally written by the Grimm Brothers', is one of the greatest fairytales out there. A beautiful princess, a dashing prince, a sinister evil queen, and 7 courageous young men fill this childhood fairytale.

The new movies are beautiful adaptations, both bringing their own signature quality's to the film, of the once beloved story.

Snow White and The Hunstman is not the Disney-fied version of the story we grew up on. It features gritty battle scenes, beautiful images that make you want to jump into the movie and experience it for yourself, a Wicked Queen whose main goal is to always stay young and beautiful, and a Snow White that wields a sword and leads an army.

Mirror Mirror is completely different. Instead of a dramatic fights you have beautiful dances and Eccentric outfits. The Evil Queen rules the kingdom with black magic and humble servants that she commands for her every wish. Vivid colors catch your eye and pull you in, leaving you with a sense of happiness..long after the movie is over.

I hope you all enjoy these wonderful movies as much as I did. Love, Grace Elizabeth Nickols. Until next time..xoxo :)
