End of Summer Tunes: Lorde and The Lighthouse and the Whaler

Wow guys. I haven't posted a blog post in a very long time and, I am very sorry about that. Summer is almost over and considering I already hate school things aren't looking to well. It's this time of the year when I start to pull my hair out and have to turn to some sort of medication to fix the beginning of school hatred we all endure. Contrary to peoples beliefs, I don't do drugs. I do, turn to music though. It's the souls medicine. 

LORDE

New Zealand native, Ella Yelich-O'Connor, has rocked the alternative music scene with her amazing voice. When you listen to her music it's hard to tell she's only sixteen!

THE LIGHTHOUSE AND THE WHALER

Five completely different men work together to form this amazing band. I personally found them while browsing Noisetrade and, I have to say I love them. With there Indie/Rock sound they create songs that you want to listen to non-stop all day long. Check them out, you won't regret it.

Kitten Heels

~A kitten heel is a short, slender heel that is normally much easier to walk in! They are very popular this winter season and can be seen worn by many celebrities during this award season. Here are some great kitten heels from Modcloth: 

Downton Abbey

If I could only watch one show for the rest of my life it would defiantly be Downton Abbey. If you have never seen it then you need to check it out. It is a British period drama set from 1912 and on that depicts the extravagant life of the Crawley family and their servants. Watch it...watch it now!

The Carrie Diaries
My current T.V. obsession is an amazing new show called "The Carrie Diaries." If you've ever seen Sex and the City then you know of Miss Carrie Bradshaw, Well...this is before she was a famous writer. The show follows her senior year of high-school in the fabulous 80's!

Winter Jams: The Lumineers

If you're like me, then you can't function without music. I constantly seem to be listening to something, whether it's my Ipod or my ancient CD player, music fills my world. Currently I'm on Christmas break and to be honest I'm quite bored. I figured to cure my boredom I would share with you all some great music I have been listening too...:)

The Lumineers

If you're into folk rock then The Lumineers are the band for you. With easygoing songs and minimal instruments they create a simplistic vibe with their music. I highly recommend checking out The Lumineers--you won't regret it!
